An Open Letter to the Finance Minister of India

Present are the times when credibility of the Government of India is very important for overall governance and welfare of the people. It is more so because Indian Media and Indian Judiciary have already lost all their credibility. Large scale public protests like against CAA, against Farmers’ Bills, against proposed selling of PSU’s have been raging the Indian psyche for months. Government tells the protesters and the public time and again that it must be trusted. The institutions must be trusted. It tells us so while launching vaccination for Covid-19. How does a common man trust a Government and the institutions that are too conspicuously acting for the benefit of a big syndicate and reinforcing Falsehood?

(An Open Letter to the Finance Minister of India)

Mrs Nirmala Sitharaman                                                                                             Dated:  4/2/2021

The Finance Minister

Government of India

New Delhi.

Subject: Your Budget Speech on 1/2/2021

This refers to your budget speech in the Parliament on the 1st February, 2021, wherein you lauded the Indian Cricket Team for having faith to produce a turnaround after an embarrassing loss in the first Test in the recently concluded Test series versus Australia in Australia. That too silly a statement in Parliament by you not only tore to smithereens whatever credibility the present Indian Government had, but also irrevocably damaged the prestige of Parliament of India. Because through your statement, with all the foolhardiness and shamelessness our Government announced to the world that the present Indian Government was nothing more than a puppet in the hands of Cricket Betting Mafia, and you did so while speaking in the Parliament.

The allegation by a key insider Sanjeev Chawla in first half of 2020 that the international Cricket at present is nothing but like movies directed by someone else at the behest of a very big syndicate/powerful underworld mafia is a matter of Delhi Police record, no one else. It is same Sanjeev Chawla whose repatriation to India took many long years and this repatriation was very keenly being awaited and looked forward to by the Indian media. But after above all-revealing statement attributed to him, all the Indian authorities and the Media suddenly went into hiding without bothering to investigate any further. That proved the statement regarding a very powerful mafia being at the helm of affairs right. In the face of it, how could you praise some team winning as a ‘faith to produce a turnaround’ when no competitive cricket was ever played? Hold on. That’s not all. Apart from above allegation, the same thing lies established nowhere else but in highly esteemed Supreme Court of India through a PIL WP (C) 1163/2017 years ago, the BCCI and Union Government being well aware, having been parties to the proceedings. And now-a-days scores of tipsters through social media have openly been telling one and all for last many months that Cricket round the globe is totally fixed. Is it not very strange that your government is being totally blind to all this while making contrary boastful tall claims of uprooting corruption all the time?

Supreme Court of India and the Government of India along with others willfully sleeping on this ongoing mammoth fraud and crime in name of Cricket is now a matter of indisputable and indelible public record through a recent book ‘We the Oodles.’ The Government of India is well aware about this book and its contents also through my letters to the Prime Minister (PM), the Home Minister (HM), and the other concerned authorities. Now your statement in the Parliament clearly tells us all that the Government of India under the present PM had not been sleeping on this open fraud and crime, but in fact it supports it whole heartedly.

Madam, you need not personally feel too bad about what has happened through you. Because more than you, the Prime Minister of India is responsible. Before you making such a stupid statement in the Parliament, our PM is reported to have lauded Ajinkya Rahane & Co.’s brilliant comeback in the series. While you may be given the benefit of doubt for being personally ignorant, PM and HM can’t be given that benefit. Both of them have to be in full knowledge how mafia is controlling cricket to loot the people they are duty bound to protect. Son of the HM, Mr Jay Shah, is an important Cricket administrator, being Secretary BCCI and now also appointed as Asian Cricket Council President. How does a common man trust a Government and the institutions that are too conspicuously acting for the benefit of a big syndicate and reinforcing Falsehood? This is a question you and our government must ponder upon deeply. Whether to mend ways or to continue to be a puppet in the hands of a powerful mafia? Choice will be of the Government and various institutions under it. Or maybe there is no choice, the very existence of the government itself being at the mercy of that mafia since corporate leaders like Mukesh Ambani are part and parcel of this mafia through owning IPL teams? As a Cabinet Minister, you would know better!
