Custodial Death

Custodial deaths are the darkest face of the police department in India. According to the human rights watch report, 1731 people died in 2019, it means 5 people dying every day in police or judicial custody.

The supreme Court of India had taken cognizance on custodial death and made some guidelines for police department.

But the question arises here is why the numbers of custodial deaths are not decreasing.
