A few days after the tragic death of a groom in Patna district, a case has now been registered against the father of the deceased groom for negligence. The groom, who arrived from Gurgaon for his wedding was allegedly showing symptoms of corona virus before he died just 2 days after his wedding. Adding more to the adversity, more than 80 guests who attended the wedding were found to be positive for corona virus.
Although the father of the groom claims that the groom had no symptoms for the virus, the actual cause of the death of the groom is still not confirmed, as his last rites were performed without any test for the said virus. A case has been registered against the father under the Disaster Management Act for negligence and violating the guidelines for the lockdown as none of the guests were wearing masks, gloves or practicing social distancing. The incident that took place at Deehpali village in Paliganj of Patna district, has now been sealed.
According to a report by ANI, the Block Development Officer (BDO) Chiranjeevi Pandey said, “The areas where the positive cases were found have been sealed. It is no longer possible to find out whether the groom has died of coronavirus or due to some other disease, as the groom has been cremated”
